VW T Roc 2018 goes on sale with a price of £20,425
Volkswagen has officially opened the order books for the new T-Roc compact SUV and confirmed the price for the new vehicle.
It will go on sale in the UK from £20,445 OTR
Initially online, 1,000 new T-Rocs will be on offer in the UK with deliveries taking place in December 2017.
The T-Roc is shorter than both the Tiguan SUV and Golf but is wider and taller than the latter.
Boot space is a reasonable 445-litres in the five-seater compact SUV.
Discussing the T-Roc’s distinctive looks Volkswagen Head of Design, Klaus Bischoff, said: “Volkswagen has created another authentic SUV with the new T-Roc.
“In launching this crossover we are also bringing a very expressive, even ‘sassy’, design to the streets.
“This emotional component makes it likeable.
“The T-Roc is therefore equally well suited for the urban world as it is for great adventures.”

Five different trim levels will be offered when the car goes on sale – S, SE, Design, SEL and R-Line.
Standard equipment across the range includes two Zone electronic climate control, Composition Media infotainment system with eight-inch colour touch-screen, Bluetooth telephone and audio connection, DAB radio reception, USB connectivity and charging.
On the SEL trim level drivers will also benefit from VW’s Active Info Display, a 10.3-inch display which replaces the instrument cluster.
Powering the range will be a choice of three petrol engines (TSI) and two diesel (TDI) units with the option of manual or DSG automatic gearboxes in both front or 4MOTION all-wheel drive.
The petrol engines range in capacity from 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0-litre petrol with power between 115PS and 200Nm and 190PS and 320Nm.
Diesel engines are either 1.6 or 2.0-litres with power ranging between 115PS and 150PS and 250Nm and 340Nm.
Five different profiles – Comfort, Normal, Sport, Eco and Individual – are available on all 4MOTION equipped cars.
The most powerful T-Roc with the 2.0 TSI and 190 PS will sprint from rest to 62 mph in 7.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 134 mph.
The car also comes with a host of driver assistance systems which implied Lane Assist, Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and a rear view camera to name a few.
